One Brother acknowledged to me that the wife was better than him in eight points and he was better than her in two.  This was an honest man.  I met a man in New York.  He told me, “My wife is better than me in everything.  I don’t know what she has found in me.  She is better than me in this, better than me in this, better than me in this, better than me in this.  So I am just enjoying what I don’t deserve.”  That is an exceptional case.  Most men are obsessed.  They believe the lie that men are superior to women.  Let me tell you today that it is a lie.  Men are not better than women.  When you have a fever, do you go about strong and doing everything? When women are sick, they still do everything.  When a man is sick he becomes like a baby.  This is the truth.

The day Sister Prisca (Fomum) went to give birth to Ruth, before she left for the hospital, she cooked all that I would be eating while she was in the hospital.  She went from cooking things and keeping them in order, to go and give birth.

Women are more robust.  They are stronger.  They are more enduring.  And they work harder.  Yes, they work harder. You go to work; your wife goes to work.  You come back.  She jumps into the kitchen and you are saying, “Is it not yet ready?”  After that, both of you go back to work.  Is that not true?  They are stronger.  I am not saying all women are caring.  I am not saying all women are stronger.  We are looking at things in general.  In general, women are stronger; they are more caring.  They suffer beyond description for men.  And they are there through thick and thin.  They mature faster and many men never mature.

So listen, Brother! When you are speaking, first ask, “To whom am I speaking? On what is this arrogance based?” No, Christian Missionary Fellowship International is a Ministry of truth.  This is an aspect of truth.  When she speaks and you walk away, are you well there in the head?  Are you walking away from your inferior?  In what are you more than her?  When she speaks and you refuse to answer like an idiot, what are the grounds of your superiority?  Some of them can even beat you physically.  There are some women who can beat the men.

I think we shall declare a week that is a man’s cooking week.  Then we shall be less critical when food is served to us.  Creating three meals a day is great responsibility.  It is difficult.  And I hear there are some men who do not eat the same thing for lunch and supper.  I think those men should cook for two months so that there may be a corrective factor to their insanity.  If you have to manufacture a separate meal for lunch and manufacture a separate meal for supper, even if there was a presidential salary, it would be difficult. 

I am commanding this day, that the woman be honoured in the home and that she be approached at least as an equal and possibly a better.  And if she is better, tell her.  Just to think that you are better than a woman because you were born a male is to miss it completely.  And I want to command that the man should prove that the woman can honour him and follow him by integrity, by truth, by faithfulness and by acts of distinction, and that the man be at least nice to her.  We liberate the Sisters from the slavery to bad men!  The Sisters shall submit, but they do not submit because they are inferior.  They submit for only one reason – out of the fear of God; full stop.  So the submission of the wife is not because of the superiority of the man.  It is because of the divine order, the divine command; just as, if you have a king who is seven years old, you still submit to him; not because of his abilities, but because of the appointment.  Then we receive that submission with both hands as a gift of God; not as a right but as a privilege.
