How to witness to an Atheist

At times, i generally get off when you someone, on the very instance, tell you that he does not believe the Bible is the word of God, and much more the existence of God.
How can you handle such a situation?
Have you ever met people with such claims?
How do you go about proving to them the existence of God and the Bible as His word?
I am really curious to know.

I truely believe God will give you a word for every individual. Just ask Him and present the person to Him. There are really no formulae.
